Salome Zinniker-Jenny writes about her arrangements:

When I hear music, then preferably music from the Balkans. It warms my heart and I always have to think how I could play this music on the harp.
The pieces in this volume are the result of that pondering. Always keep in mind that it is music that is allowed to be played, varied, changed and developed further.
What I wrote is just a variation!
I decided not to write fingerings. As varied as the harp players are, so varied is the fingering! If you don't find a good solution by yourself, then sit down with someone else - you can also play all the pieces together - and find out together the best fingering.
The harmonies are written in the music. They allow you to read the bass line more quickly and if necessary, also to simplify or vary it.
The tempo markings are intended as guidelines. Dances are generally played like the musicians and dancers feel at the moment. There are also dances that start slowly and get faster and faster. It can be a real contest of who can be quicker, the musicians or the dancers!
I have had the idea for this book for a long time.  Christoph Pampuch has now tranformed my idea into reality by his series "harpa mundi", for which I thank him very much.
My love of Greek music is inseparably coupled with my husband Jannis, who wrote the background information and the dance instructions to the pieces.
To him I dedicate my first book!
And now, enjoy the music!
